Duration: 6+ monthsLocation: On-site in Los Angeles, CAResponsibilities / RequirementsPerform mechanical design and layout trade studies for space hardware.Generate detailed designs via CAD systems and engineering drawings with appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Deliver well‑written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews and as part of proposal efforts.Design and support test campaigns, both development and qualification/acceptance, for aerospace grade hardware.Experience working with cross functional teams and a strong ability to collaborate.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Structural, and Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience including significant time designing structural or avionics systems for space.5+ years of experience with Siemens NX, NX Teamcenter, & GD&T per ASME Y14.5.Experience supporting development and qualification test campaigns of flight hardware.Hands‑on experience assembling and integrating space hardware.Must Have SkillsOver 12 years of experience in IT.Over 5 years of experience in Siemens NX, NX Teamcenter, & GD&T per ASME Y14.5.Over 3 years of experience in finite element analysis skills (FEMAP/NASTRAN or equivalent).Experience with issue‑tracking applications (JIRA, TRAC).Experience working with government agencies.Over 3 years of experience in space hardware thermal vacuum test and space hardware vibration test experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Track record of successfully delivering compelling written reports and complete designs on time, to scope, with high quality.Solid understanding of design for manufacturing methods.High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.Seniority LevelEntry levelEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionEngineering and Information TechnologyManufacturing and Retail#J-18808-Ljbffr
