Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with team members to design and refine cutting-edge medical devices, contributing to product testing, validation, and optimization.  They will oversee all stages of product development, encompassing mechanical design, materials sourcing, prototype fabrication, and tests. Responsibilities will also include the development of test protocols, active participation in product testing, and the preparation of comprehensive test reports

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Mechanical design and development of diverse medical devices.
· Create robust solid models, drawings, and detailed specifications.
· Conduct thorough characterization and environmental tests 
· Interface with suppliers to select critical components and qualify tools.
· Coordinate closely with operations and quality teams to ensure adherence to design specifications.
· Identify and resolve design-related issues.
· Prepare and review necessary documentation for product feasibility and design

· Identify and mitigate risk associated with device functionality, reliability, safety

· Design and evaluate feasibility of improved device components, subsystems, and assembled products.
