Job Description:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of complex mechanical systems, modules, and subsystems for advanced equipment platforms.
  • This role will be responsible for driving the complete mechanical design lifecycle from concept development and feasibility analysis through prototype build, system integration, testing, and manufacturing release.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in precision mechanical design, analytical engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on product development within complex electromechanical systems environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for complex systems.
  • Own the complete design cycle including requirements, feasibility studies, analysis, CAD modeling, detailed drawings, prototyping, and testing.
  • Perform engineering analysis including thermal, structural, vibration, fluid, and FEA simulations.
  • Create detailed 3D models and drawings using Creo/Pro-E, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Optical, Systems, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering teams for subsystem and system integration.
  • Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, validation, and transition to manufacturing.
  • Develop engineering documentation including assembly and test procedures.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure design, quality, and manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Resolve product and design issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience:
  • Strong experience in mechanical design and product development for complex systems or capital equipment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting prototype builds and troubleshooting mechanical system issues.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Creo/Pro-E, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, or similar tools.
  • Experience performing engineering analysis including FEA, thermal, structural, vibration, or fluid analysis.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Precision mechanical design
    • Tolerance analysis and GD&T
    • Materials and manufacturing processes
    • Prototype development and system integration
  • Experience managing mechanical components through full product development lifecycle.
 
Skillsets:
  • Design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA)
  • CAD software such as Creo/Pro-E, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX
Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
