Work within a fast-paced team tasked with the design of sheetmetal enclosures, weldments, and other applicable customer designs.Duties and Responsibilities: Layout and design to support quotations, orders and manufacturing projectsEnsure that standard shop practices and capabilities meet the design requirements and are reflected in designs and drawingsSecondary tasks include troubleshooting calls, calling vendors, update ECR's, contacting customersPlay a key role in manufacturing and productivity improvementsSolve manufacturing and assembly issues on the shop floor, both for short term and long term solutionsAssist to launch new product developmentConduct reviews of jobs released to the floorWork towards continuous improvements for cost reductions and quality improvementsWork with quality, purchasing, assembly, and design staff to ensure efficiencyDesired Skills: High level of SOLIDWORKS ProficiencyKnowledge in an ERP system along with PDM experience preferredExperience in sheet-metal & weldment design is desiredFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and able to work with changing prioritiesHands on individual who can work from concept through implementationBachelor's or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or related field desired#J-18808-Ljbffr
