Job Summary Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 3) for its Test and Evaluation organization at the Engineering Design Center and Lab Operations. The position is located in Oklahoma City and Tinker Air Force Base, OK.Location Oklahoma City and Tinker Air Force Base, OKKey Responsibilities Develop 3D CAD models, detail part, assembly, and integration drawingsCoordinate and liaison of mechanical engineering designs through procurement and manufacturing processesCoordinate and liaison of electrical design integration and assemblyLead and coordinate hardware integration in a laboratory environmentDevelop documentation in support of designs and product lifecycle managementSupport troubleshooting and system verification in a lab settingThrive in a dynamic work environment with high expectations and collaborative/team settings across all levelsBasic Qualifications Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 2)Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experienceActive DoD Secret or higher clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous EvaluationAbility to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of timeExperience developing mechanical designs using tools such as CATIA V5, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar design software toolsPrincipal Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 3)Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, OR Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related experienceActive DoD Secret or higher clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous EvaluationAbility to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of timeExperience developing mechanical designs using tools such as CATIA V5, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar design software toolsPreferred Qualifications Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related fieldProfessional experience in aerospace and defenseActive Top Secret clearanceActive Program accessMechanical design experience using CATIA V5Experience with PLM systemsExperience in additive manufacturing or 3D print design and technologiesHardware integration experience in a laboratory environmentDemonstrated experience working in a dynamic environment with competing prioritiesSalary Range Level 2: $68,200.00 – $102,400.00Level 3: $84,700.00 – $127,100.00Benefits Northrop Grumman provides health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
