Mechanical Design Engineer – robotics/fixtures/Solidworks

Busy engineering and manufacturing company has an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Direct-hire position with very competitive benefits!

Duties:
* Design and develop special application machines, robotic systems and fixtures
* Use Solidworks to create detailed models and assemblies
* Conduct engineering analysis (FEA and tolerance stack-up studies)
* Act as technical lead on assigned projects
* Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs)

Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Design experience with automation, fixtures, CNC machining, robotics or precision tooling
* Solidworks proficiency
* Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* Ability to conduct FEA, stress analysis and tolerance studies
