Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a Contract with a client in Rocky Mount, NC. The ideal candidate will support the development and improvement of overhaul repair processes, technical documentation, and inspection instructions to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Rate Range: $38/Hour to $40/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Review and research technical requirements, repair processes, and procedures to support overhaul repair development activities.

• Evaluate regulatory compliance requirements related to materials, tools, equipment, facilities, and technical documentation.

• Assist in identifying and implementing solutions to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce turnaround time (TAT).

• Develop and maintain repair procedures, overhaul repair instructions, and technical inspection documentation.

• Support technical publication updates, revisions, and change requests to ensure accurate and compliant repair documentation.

• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and suppliers involved in overhaul repair operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 2+ years of experience in repair development, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), or a related engineering environment.

• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications, repair procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Ability to develop and maintain technical instructions, repair processes, inspection documentation, and engineering reports.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
