Position Summary
At the Westborough, Massachusetts Design Center, our Product Development teams provide solutions to our customers through the design and development of DC-DC and AC-DC power conversion products. In this role, you will:
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience (0 - 4 years of experience) preferred.
Software Experience:
MCAD Solid Modelling (Solidworks, Pro-E (Creo), Catia)
Some experience in an engineering design or R&D environment desired.
Knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering/Simulation software such as FEA and CFD
Solid understanding of thermal analysis, cooling methodologies and design of experiments to validate results.
Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers and external vendors.
Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment used for fabrication of custom metal and plastic components and sub-assemblies including inspection techniques and quality standards.
Solid Knowledge of drafting standards such as ANSI/ASME Y14.5M. Ability to apply GD&T principles when appropriate.
Good Knowledge of material finishes, cosmetic requirements, etc.
Knowledge of reliability and life expectancy principles.
Knowledge of related design verification and qualification testing.
Operating/Non-Operating shock & vibration
Ingress protection per IEC 60529
Demonstrated creative and innovative work is an asset.

The salary range for this role is $85,000/year - $110,000/year.
The salary range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks. Actual compensation may vary depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
