Role Details

• Location: Roanoke, VA
• Reports to: Engineering Leadership
• Employment: Full-time
• Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000

Your Focus

• Architect, engineer, contractor, and client coordination to align goals and constraints.
• HVAC system design emphasizing efficiency, reliability, and code compliance.
• Load calculations, energy modeling, and system analysis using tools such as Trace and ComCheck.
• Quality management: scope definition, schedule adherence, and document completeness.
• Team development: mentoring junior staff and refining workflows and templates.
• Clear communication—technical narratives, presentations, and design rationale.

What You’ll Need

• Mechanical Engineer license in Virginia (PE).
• 7–10 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred, with strong building systems background.
• Competence with Microsoft Word and Excel; Revit proficiency preferred.
• Fluency with design/calculation tools (Trace, ComCheck).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; collaborative mindset.
