Job Description
This mid-level Mechanical Design Technician role supports new product development and manufacturing activities for a smart building technology organization. You will work hands-on to build, test, and refine mechanical components and assemblies during active manufacturing and product launch phases. The position combines CAD-based mechanical design with practical testing and prototyping in a fast-paced engineering environment, with strong exposure to mechanical, electrical, and development teams.

Work Environment
This role is fully onsite at a campus-based facility and is embedded within a primarily mechanical engineering-focused team that collaborates closely with development and electrical engineering. You will work in a hands-on environment that blends office-based CAD work with time on the manufacturing floor, supporting new product development, product launches, and an ongoing major manufacturing tooling initiative. The position offers a long-term opportunity with a mix of design and practical build/test responsibilities. Standard benefits include paid time off, with two weeks of PTO and eight paid holidays. The environment emphasizes collaboration, continuous refinement of designs and tooling, and direct involvement in active production and manufacturing support.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
