Mechanical Design, CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing), SolidWorks, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Documentation, Mechanical Assembly,
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting
- Experience supporting aerospace, aircraft, or NASA-related programs
- Strong SolidWorks experience for part, assembly, and drawing creation
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, drafting standards, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with GD&T and production drawing documentation is preferred
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and assembly documentation using SolidWorks
- Translate engineering concepts into accurate, manufacturable mechanical drawings
- Support component and assembly design from concept through release to production
- Maintain drawing revisions, dimensions, tolerances, and related documentation
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements
- Support prototype builds, drawing updates, and design changes as needed
