    Location: 1625 W. Grand Parkway N, Katy TX 77493

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to support the design and development of mechanical systems for power generation platforms. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD skills and a practical understanding of fabrication methods who can translate engineering concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings.
    This role will work on projects involving:
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • Hydrogen Fuel Cells
    • Natural Gas Engines
    • Electrification of Oil & Gas Service Units

    Key Responsibilities
    Create and maintain fabrication drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) for mechanical systems and components.
    Support engineers and designers in the development of system layouts, enclosure designs, and integration of mechanical and electrical subsystems.
    Perform basic tolerance stack-up and fit checks to ensure design manufacturability and assembly.
    Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure alignment between design intent and final product.
    Manage CAD file organization, drawing revisions, and design documentation according to company standards.
    Assist in preparing installation and service documentation for field teams.

    Qualifications / Skills:
    • Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical drafting/design, preferably in industrial systems or power generation.
    • Proficient or some experience in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
    • Familiarity with fabrication practices including welding, sheet metal design, and machining.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical specifications.
    • Strong attention to detail and organization; capable of managing multiple design packages concurrently.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

    The pay range for this position should be based on geographic region norms; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
