CPV Manufacturing is an industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, looking for someone to focus full time on updating drawings and procedures. Every US Naval Aircraft Carrier and Nuclear Submarine is outfitted with our products, so our standards are high.
Essential Duties:
Update and create new 3D models and drawing from paper and AutoCAD files, using SolidWorks
Conversion of legacy drawings and designs to new company standards
Maintain Company files for documents, drawings, and designs
Modify and revise existing 3D drawings to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
Complete drawings and related paperwork for Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Review (ECR)
Perform flow and stress analysis calculations for various product applications
Develop, organize, maintain, process and track engineering documentation and project deliverables trough storage locations, logs and trackers
Generate and distribute performance metrics reports (e.g., overdue items, document status) for management and project stakeholders
Release engineering documentation pertaining to ECR/ECN/DCN and NPD processes into the organization EDM and MRP (Infor) systems, storage data bases or physical files
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite document approval through the specific workflows (ECR, ECN, DCN) and resolve discrepancies. Ensure proper workflows are followed
Manage engineering documentation (drawings, reports, specifications, redlines, as builds) through the entire lifecycle ensuring version control, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards (ISO/QMS/Regulatory Requirements) so that only approved revisions are used in production
Administer vendor and customer documentation, ensuring timely receipt, indexing, and integration into project databases and other storage locations
Implement in company MRP system (Infor) new part numbers as required
Generate new designs and drawings for New Product Development using company CAD Software SolidWorks
Perform other related tasks to achieve engineering department success as requested
Qualifications:
Experience: 2 - 5 years' experience as a draftsperson in a related field
Education: Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field preferred but not required
Working knowledge SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD system required
Familiar with ASME Y14 series or other drafting standards
Experience with fluid power or fluid control systems are a plus
Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Understands GD&T symbols and can demonstrate competency
Detail oriented with strong technical writing skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CAD Files Management, and Adobe
