Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Principal Mechanical / Electrical Inspector to support a major project based in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will provide senior-level inspection oversight for mechanical and electrical systems to help ensure construction activities meet project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
This position is ideal for an experienced inspection professional with strong technical knowledge of building systems, construction practices, regulatory compliance, and field coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery through thorough inspection, documentation, issue resolution, and collaboration with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant field experience.
Significant experience in construction inspection involving mechanical and electrical systems on large, complex infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or public works projects.
Demonstrated expertise in inspection of one or more of the following:
HVAC systems
Plumbing and piping systems
Fire protection systems
Electrical power distribution
Lighting and controls
Instrumentation and low-voltage systems
Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and test documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with inspection reporting tools, Microsoft Office applications, and standard construction documentation platforms.
Ability to work effectively in an active construction environment and coordinate with diverse project stakeholders.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to the project site as required.

Salary Range: $49.76 - $87.07
