Description Application deadline: Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis Amazon is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Integration Lead to drive the successful installation, integration, and deployment of automation and material handling systems across multiple facilities. This role provides mechanical engineering expertise in complex automation environments, ensuring projects meet Amazon's safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards. The Mechanical or Electrical Integration Lead will Lead will manage installation crews installing material handling equipment across North America, collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and operations to implement scalable solutions, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-impact results across large, multi-site programs. Key job responsibilities Lead installation crews deploying material handling equipment across North American facilities Lead delivery of complex projects with multi-site impact. Provide technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned sites Implement technical solutions and lead project level decisions Follow and help develop technical standards and best practices Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams Participate in technical reviews and drive engineering excellence Implement scalable solutions across assigned facilities Recommend and implement process improvements Create and maintain technical documentation Drive achievement of safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics Provide technical input to leadership for decision-making Manage relationships with vendors and partners A day in the life As a Operations Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert in the integration and deployment of automation and material handling solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across organizations to drive implementations and improvements across multiple sites. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience with the project management of technical projects - Scheduled travel required 50% of the time; travel may exceed 50% in some instances with short notice Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level - Experience working with and managing third party vendors - Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing - Prior experience managing millwrights, maintenance technicians, fabricators, elevator mechanics, escalator mechanics, pipefitters, or aircraft mechanics - Prior experience working for a material handling integrator - Prior experience installing conveyor or sortation systems Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
