Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Builder Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of complex custom automation machinery. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble complex automated machinery, systems, and sub-assemblies from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Install pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical components
- Collaborate with engineering, controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure equipment functions per specifications
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting, alignment, and precision adjustment of moving components
- Assist in testing, debugging, and system startup activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support field service teams with equipment installation and commissioning when required
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED; a technical certification or associate's degree is preferred and 5+ years of experience building automated machinery, packaging equipment, or industrial systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical prints, and pneumatic schematics
- Proficient with hand tools, precision measuring devices, and power tools
- Experience with robotics or motion systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with our design software (Inventor and Vault) or just CAD experience (preferred)
