We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a highly collaborative engineering team focused on the design, development, fabrication, and testing of cutting-edge prototype machines and systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on first-of-their-kind projects, partnering with engineers, technicians, and leadership to bring innovative concepts from design through prototype build and validation.

Key Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, and test mechanical systems, equipment, and prototype components.
Support multiple concurrent prototype projects through design, build, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Create and review engineering drawings, models, and design documentation.
Utilize CAD tools to develop prototype designs and support manufacturing processes.
Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
Operate and maintain prototype manufacturing equipment, including:
3D printers
CNC machinery
Cutting, milling, and welding equipment
Electrical cable and harness fabrication tools
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop best practices for prototyping and manufacturing.
Track prototype inventory and provide logistics support for project execution.
Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to determine project feasibility.
Support prototype delivery efforts while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software/Controls Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Associate degree candidates may be considered with 9+ years of applicable technical experience.
Strong experience creating engineering drawings and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience with CAD software and mechanical design.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hands-on team environment.
