Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a project team supporting innovative aerospace, industrial, manufacturing, and other complex facilities. This role will be responsible for developing mechanical designs from concept through completion and collaborating with engineers, project managers, clients, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering and design from conceptual development through final design.
• Develop, modify, and review mechanical drawings and construction documents.
• Design mechanical systems and components based on project requirements.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, codes, and procedures.
• Work with project teams to develop solutions that meet technical, budget, schedule, and client requirements.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, 3D modeling and rendering, HVAC, and hydraulic analysis software.
• Research and compile project data and technical information.
• Review and update drawings and designs prepared by senior engineers.
• Support client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, calculations, and site evaluations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout design and construction.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and applicable codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program and 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience; consulting experience preferred.
• OR a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of the FE exam, and 3+ years of experience.
• OR a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design practices, and applicable codes and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
• Experience with HVAC and/or hydraulic analysis software and 3D modeling/rendering tools.
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• EIT certification preferred.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging projects and can effectively collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients, and field personnel. Experience supporting aerospace, industrial, manufacturing, or other complex facilities is highly valued.
