We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join one of our clients engineering teams on a contract‑to‑hire basis . In this role, you will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical and piping systems that meet project requirements, customer expectations, and industry standards. You'll apply sound engineering principles to deliver reliable, constructible, and high‑performance solutions while collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners.This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands‑on design, technical problem‑solving, and working in a collaborative project environment—with the potential to convert to a full‑time role.What You'll DoDesign and develop mechanical and piping systems using AutoCAD, Plant3D, and/or CADWorxPerform stress analysis, friction loss calculations, and hydraulic analysis to evaluate system performanceConduct heat transfer analysis to ensure safe and efficient thermal managementApply engineering calculations and simulations to optimize system reliability, safety, and constructabilityCollaborate with civil/structural, electrical, QA, and project management teams to ensure integrated designsSupport design reviews, troubleshoot engineering challenges, and provide technical recommendationsPrepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, reports, and specificationsEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline5+ years of mechanical engineering design and development experienceProficiency with AutoCAD and Plant3D or CADWorxExperience performing friction loss calculations, system hydraulics analysis, and stress analysisStrong understanding of heat transfer principles and mechanical system behaviorDemonstrated ability to apply analytical methods to solve complex engineering problemsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalentExperience with advanced simulation tools such as FEA, CAESAR II, and/or AFT FathomFamiliarity with material selection for chemical compatibilityExperience working in multidisciplinary, project‑based engineering environments#J-18808-Ljbffr
