We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background working on industrial projects. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements and industry standards. You will be responsible for applying engineering principles to develop innovative solutions that enhance system performance, reliability, and constructability. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including civil/structural, electrical, quality assurance, and project management to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs. You will utilize simulation and analytical tools to evaluate heat transfer and stress, ensuring safety and compliance. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality mechanical designs that meet customer expectations and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using 3D Modeling Software and AutoCAD to support design development.
  • Perform stress analysis and friction loss calculations to evaluate piping systems under various load conditions and optimize designs accordingly.
  • Conduct heat transfer analysis to ensure thermal management and system efficiency in mechanical assemblies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review design concepts, provide technical guidance, and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications to support design validation.
Necessary Skills:
  • Plant3D and AutoCAD are essential for creating precise mechanical designs and detailed technical drawings that serve as the foundation for design development.
  • Heat transfer and stress analytical skills enable you to assess thermal and mechanical performance, ensuring designs meet safety and efficiency standards.
  • Mechanical design expertise allows you to innovate and improve system functionality while considering constructability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Engineering analytical skills support problem-solving and decision-making processes, allowing you to interpret data and refine designs to achieve optimal results.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering and design in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Plant3D or CADWorx.
  • Experience with friction loss calculations and system hydraulics analysis as well as stress analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and mechanical system behavior.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • PE
  • Experience with advanced simulation software such as FEA (finite element analysis), CAESAR II, and/or AFT Fathom.
