    Ellwood Crankshaft Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development and manufacture of large crankshafts and other critical components. This position works closely with engineering, production, quality and maintenance teams to develop solutions, improve manufacturing processes and ensure products meet customer and industry requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop large crankshafts to meet performance and customer specifications.
    • Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.
    • Conduct simulations and stress analyses to evaluate product durability and performance.
    • Provide engineering support throughout the manufacturing process and help resolve production issues.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, improve quality and reduce waste.
    • Support quality control procedures, product inspections and testing.
    • Analyze product and process data and prepare technical reports.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project and production goals.
    • Communicate technical information effectively with team members and stakeholders.
    • Participate in project planning, resource allocation, scheduling and milestone tracking.

    This position works in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, changing temperatures and machinery with moving parts.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of mechanical design and manufacturing experience; experience with crankshafts, forgings or other large manufactured components preferred.
    • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
    • Strong understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes and machining techniques.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
