This role is ideal for engineers with a background in MEP consulting or building systems engineering who are interested in contributing to sustainable, high-performance designs across a variety of project types.

You’ll work on a diverse range of projects including commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and renewable energy applications—playing a key role in the design and delivery of HVAC and mechanical systems.

Why Join?

  • Work on real-world projects—from breweries and restaurants to clinics and mixed-use developments
  • Collaborative, small-team environment with hands-on project exposure
  • Clear growth path into project engineering and client-facing roles
  • Support for EIT/PE licensure and continued professional development
  • Culture focused on practical design, sustainability, and continuous learning
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing
  • Develop ductwork, piping, and ventilation system layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams to deliver integrated MEP solutions
  • Participate in project coordination meetings with clients, architects, and contractors
  • Support energy-efficient and sustainable design initiatives, including renewable and solar-integrated systems
  • Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation to ensure design intent is met
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in HVAC or MEP design for commercial or institutional buildings
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, hydronic piping, and ventilation design
  • Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy efficiency best practices
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Experience with load calculation software (e.g., Trane TRACE, HAP, RHVAC) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred
