Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Cost Control, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Electromechanical Assembly, IP (Internet Protocol), Japanese Language, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Assembly, Manufacturing Design, Mechanical Engineering, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Quality Management, Reliability Testing, Six Sigma, Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, SolidWorks, Spanish Language, Test Design, Testing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering
- 7-10 years of Manufacturing supporting sustaining manufacturing and production teams
- SolidWorks to create and experience maintaining 3D parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings
- Experience with APQP/ Phase Gates: (Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, Design Reviews, Test plans)
- Experience with: Plastics, machined components, Electromechanical assemblies, IP Sealing concepts
- Ensure all required deliverables are completed despite compressed timelines.
- Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt a plus)
- Spanish and or Japanese is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Lead variance studies with close collaboration with industrial and with manufacturing team
- Update all designs including: Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA), Design for Cost, and Design for
- Plan and support testing to validate design changes, including functional, environmental, durability, and reliability testing
- Review legacy designs and assemblies to reduce cost, improve quality, increase robustness, and simplify manufacturing and assembly.
