SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Automation Engineer for a large manufacturing client located in Carol Stream, IL. The Automation Engineer provides expertise in the areas of machine operation including programming, setup and running of automated machinery. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire or direct hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $80,000/yr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).    Available shifts: 1st Shift: 6:30a-3p, M-F
 Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer:
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems ensuring quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage design projects including timelines, milestones, and R&D tracking.
  • Execute customer specific orders that require Engineering.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other simulations to validate and optimize designs.
  • Coordinate regulatory testing with UL, ETL, CSA and other agencies.
  • Create technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Stay up to date on new components and products in the industry.
  • Enter and maintain product bill of materials in the ERP system.
  • Support production and customers by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
Preferred Qualifications of the Automation Engineer:
  • Proficient with Solid Works or other 3D design software.
  • Proficient with AutoCad or other 2D drawing software.
  • Experienced with the fabrication of mechanical designs.
  • Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of industrial AC and DC power systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) a plus.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
