    What You’ll Do
    • Perform full lifecycle mechanical product development, including design, development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and implementation.

    • Design mechanical systems, assemblies, and components that meet product requirements and performance specifications.

    • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed mechanical designs using 2D and 3D CAD tools.

    • Create and evaluate prototypes throughout the product-development process.

    • Conduct methodical experiments, analyze engineering data, and interpret results to support design decisions.

    • Test and evaluate theoretical and physical designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and safety.

    • Identify engineering challenges and develop effective solutions to emerging technical problems.

    • Evaluate final product performance, reliability, quality, and overall functionality.

    • Modify and optimize designs to meet changing requirements and eliminate product or manufacturing issues.

    • Support the transition of new products from engineering development into manufacturing and production.

    • Estimate project scope, resources, timelines, and budget requirements.

    • Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

    • Collaborate with electrical engineering, firmware/software, manufacturing, product management, quality, and other cross-functional teams.

    • Provide technical guidance and engineering leadership throughout product-development projects.

    • Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, manufacturing methods, and mechanical engineering approaches.

    • Continue developing technical knowledge and applying new engineering theories and methods.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    What We’re Looking ForRequired Skills
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, product development, and manufacturing processes.

    • Strong experience using CAD/CAM software and mechanical drafting tools.

    • Ability to develop mechanical designs using both 2D and 3D engineering software.

    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

    • Experience conducting engineering testing, experiments, and design validation.

    • Ability to analyze technical data and translate findings into practical engineering solutions.

    • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability, reliability, and product performance.

    • Ability to identify design or manufacturing issues and develop effective solutions.

    • Strong project-management and organizational skills.

    • Excellent prioritization and ability to manage multiple engineering projects and deadlines.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to prepare accurate engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams.

    • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to others.

    Preferred Skills
    • Experience designing mechanical components for electronics, professional video equipment, displays, consumer electronics, or similar products.

    • Experience developing products from initial concept through production.

    • Experience working closely with electrical, firmware/software, manufacturing, quality, and product-development teams.

    • Experience with prototype fabrication, testing, and design validation.

    • Knowledge of modern manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-manufacturing principles.

    • Previous experience working in a fast-paced product-development or manufacturing environment.
