Our client is hiring a Mechanical Engineer. Interested candidates should have at least a bachelor's degree or technical equivalent with at least 3 years of experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer
Utilize SolidWorks to develop conceptual machine layouts for the foods industry
Use SolidWorks or AutoCAD to detail the machine designs and provide exploded view drawings as well as Bills of Materials
Be responsible for identifying the motor requirements for the conveyors including rotational torque calculations
Serve as a liaison with the electrical engineering with the integration of HMI and PLC controls as well as robotics for pick and place applications
Be a technical liaison if required to work with customers on their design parameters to incorporate their specific requirements into your machine designs
Be available for on-site commissioning of your machines at the customer locations
Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
MS Office proficiency is a plus including the use of MS Excel as needed
A knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer
The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 depending on experience.
