A leading marine manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its product development and technology team. This role focuses on designing, integrating, and validating mechanical systems that support high‑performance recreational vessels.

The Mechanical Engineer will lead system‑level design across fluid systems, structural components, propulsion‑related mechanisms, and complex assemblies. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions for new and existing boat programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical system design for fuel, fresh water, raw water, HVAC, hydraulic steering, power generation, drainage, and other onboard systems.
  • Develop and maintain 3D/2D models using industry‑standard CAD tools.
  • Conduct design validation, including FEA, FMEA, testing, and DVP&R documentation.
  • Review and approve specifications, drawings, and engineering changes.
  • Partner with suppliers to improve component quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Support manufacturing integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze warranty data and field feedback to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international marine regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports and support customer service with system‑related issues.
  • Participate in and lead design reviews; mentor junior engineers as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgewater, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
