Growing automation components engineering & manufacturing company has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer. Direct hire position with competitive benefits!
Duties:
- Design and develop custom electro-mechanical components used in automated machines
- Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
- Perform tolerance stack-ups, material selections, and engineering analysis
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, etc.) to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems
- Participate in supplier discussions, reviewing feasibility and production readiness of new or revised components
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or product development
- MUST have experience designing components (not total machine design)
- Strong 3D CAD skills (Solidworks preferred)
- Understanding of GD&T symbols
- Experience designing motion control components a plus (gears, bearings, actuators, etc.)
- Experience performing load analysis preferred
- Familiarity with FEA tools or simulation software
- Understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering processes – includes experience working with cross-functional teams
Salary: $100-120K
