Mechanical Engineer
Elk Grove Village, IL
Our client is hiring a Mechanical Engineer. Interested candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer
Develop machinery utilizing up to 36 station rotary index tables using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor
Design systems to integrate technology such as ultrasonic welding using such brands as Dukane, Herrmann or Branson and pad printing from such brands as ITW Transtech
Use Brute machine bases or similar to design and have your machines built in-house on
Be a project manager to manage the timeline of your machine builds using MS Project or similar software
Design the fixtures and nests to be used with each process
Stay within budget for each project and be mindful of fiscal accountability for your projects
Along with the Electrical Engineering team, incorporate safety guarding such as light curtains and other safety mechanisms into your designs
Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical equivalent is preferred
MS Office proficiency including MS Project
Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is required
Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer
The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges starts at $80,000.00 per year on the low range and salary will depend on experience and skillset levels.
