The successful candidate will work alongside other engineers, designers, and drafters to develop construction work packages within the chemical and refining industry. This position is geared toward launching a recent graduate into a growth driven path to success working projects from conception through construction.ResponsibilitiesApplicants should have the ability to:Perform job responsibilities under direction of Project Manager or a Senior Mechanical EngineerPrepare technical specifications and datasheets for review and approvalEvaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure compliance with specificationsPerform calculations for detailed segments of a project such as pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.Work with Project Engineers and Designers to ensure that engineering standards are applied correctlyReview equipment and piping drawings, layouts, and material specifications to ensure they match ISC and Client standards and design requirementsAssist with mechanical drawing production when necessaryOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or universityEntry‑Level PositionCo‑Op or Internship experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferred but not requiredLicensed Engineer in Training (EIT) or the ability to become licensedKnowledge and ability to apply industry specifications and codes for equipment and pipe designAble to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to problem solve and thrive when priorities and deadlines changeExcellent written and oral communication skillsSkilled in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)AutoCAD or 3D Design Software experience preferredTWIC Card or the ability to acquire oneAbility to perform job walks, field sketches, assist surveying team, and trace lines in client facilitiesOther InformationExcellent wages and complete benefits package.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.ISC evaluates and hires applicants for employment based exclusively upon the applicant's merit.
