MECHANICAL ENGINEER - WA - Short term contract role

The ideal candidate will be a self motivated creative thinker who thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Design, build and integrate complex electromechanical parts and systems
• Utilize SolidWorks 3D CAD to produce working equipment models
• Coordinate with production team to design and improve production processes
• Work directly with fabrication team to produce creative, high quality machines

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical engineering with fabrication experience
• Must be proficient in SolidWorks modeling and design. Emphasis on design for fabrication and weldments preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flawless attention to detail
• Must excel working both with a team and independently; must be a self-starter
• Comfort with ambiguity and a flexible, can-do attitude
• Manufacturing and machine tool environment experience a must
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assemblies needed
• Knowledge of CNC machining, including programming is a plus
