Job Description:

Stanley Consultants is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with facility design experience to join one of our offices. This position is for a candidate with 8-15 years of experience performing functions which require the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in performing a sequence of related engineering tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinates technical efforts within discipline areas.
  • Participate in mechanical design development from conceptual design through detailed design, including coordinating with other team or project members, including other disciplines, architectural, structural, electrical, civil, and I&C.
  • Prepare and check design computations for system design, equipment, and pipe sizing, and determining conditions of service.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical specifications for equipment and material.
  • Lead and mentor our 2D/3D designers and less experienced engineers to develop designs and prepare drawings for project.
  • Work with design and equipment sizing software to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Perform or assist with occasional field or site visits for observations, data collection, and documentation efforts for clients and/or project needs.
  • Consults with construction personnel concerning design, constructability, as related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited four-year college.
  • 8 years of relevant facility design experience.
  • Possess PE or able to obtain PE within 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing HVAC systems, plumbing systems, central utility plants, and mechanical distribution systems.
  • Experience using Trane Trace, Revit, Pipe-Flo, COMcheck, and/or BLCC software.
  • LEED AP, BDC credential, and/or GBI Guiding Principles Compliance Professional.

Salary Range:

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidates qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy, and practices.

Stanley Consultants Approach to Flexibility:

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions, consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 980 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off.
