\nA Mechanical Engineer – Designs, develops, and improves mechanical systems and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance, efficiency, and reliability. In a manufacturing environment, they collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to solve technical issues, optimize equipment, and ensure products meet engineering and safety standards.
\nJob Duties
\n:
\nCreate and refine mechanical components and processes using CAD software.
\nDevelop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and performance.
\nEnsure components meet customer specifications.
\n:
\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support project objectives.
\nCommunicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders.
\nManage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
\n:
\nAssist in the transition of components to production.
\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges.
\nSupport process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
\n:
\nMaintain accurate engineering documentation, including technical drawings, processes, and specifications.
\nEnsure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations.
\nEnsure compliance with Rand’s AS9100 Quality Management System
\n:
\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
\nExperience in Defense related Manufacturing is a plus.
\nExperience with CNC machining is a plus.
\nPrior Management Experience is a plus.
\nProficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
\nStrong analytical skills.
\nKnowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
\nAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
\nStrong communication and project management skills.
