The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for conducting field and technical evaluations to support a wide range of engineering assessments. This role involves applying engineering principles to collect information, analyze findings, and prepare clear documentation for clients and internal teams.

Description
You will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Performing on‑site evaluations and gathering relevant technical information
- Assessing mechanical systems, components, or environments to identify conditions, contributing factors, or key observations
- Documenting findings through written summaries, photographs, diagrams, or related deliverables
- Communicating results clearly to internal stakeholders and external clients
- Preparing technical reports and supporting materials that explain conclusions and recommendations
- Managing assignments independently while coordinating as needed with team members
- Traveling periodically for field assessments and site visits
- Supporting client needs through timely communication and professional interaction
Profile
The successful candidate will have
- A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a technically relevant field
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license is required
- Experience conducting technical evaluations or assessments in field or office environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience completing detailed work independently and meeting deadlines
- A willingness to travel for short field assignments
- Experience presenting findings or serving as a technical resource to clients or colleagues
