Description
Product Mechanical Engineer - Fort Worth Alliance, TX
Position Summary
Responsible for the overall management, design, validation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical and assembly fixtures and machines used in both PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and FA (Final Assembly) production areas. This includes ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance with production standards and project requirements. MUST HAVE Electronic Repair & Refurbishing experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and validation of mechanical/assembly fixture and machine including strain gauge measurements and Gauge R&R as needed for new projects.
Check and review preventive maintenance for all mechanical/assembly fixtures and machines used in both PCBA and FA production areas.
Design and oversee the creation of prototype fixtures intended for use in PCBA and FA production processes, ensuring high-quality and efficient fabrication.
Provide Mechanical/assembly fixture analysis and corrective actions.
Conduct and implement reviews for PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and MECN
(Mechanical Change Notices), ensuring updates are tracked, validated, and effectively implemented.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical/assembly fixture design and production engineering.
Hands-on experience in strain gauge testing, Gauge R&R studies, and mechanical design validation.
Familiarity with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and FA (Final Assembly) production processes are preferred.
Competencies:
Strong knowledge of mechanical and assembly fixture design, prototyping, and validation techniques.
Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and related engineering tools.
Knowledge of PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing principles, and process risk management techniques.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
Proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred to facilitate communication with multilingual teams, suppliers, and international stakeholders.
