Permanent position for a Mechanical Engineer designing load-bearing components and assemblies for heavy industrial equipment.Validate structural integrity of designs under severe service loads using finite element analysis and supporting hand calculations.Model and detail parts for production in 3D CAD, applying GD&T to drawings.Partner with sales and production groups to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.Maintain engineering documentation in PDM and define component and assembly build structures within the ERP system.Serve on a design peer review team.Support production troubleshooting and drive continuous improvement.BS Mechanical Engineering. 3+ years of mechanical engineering design experience.Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes including welding, machining etc.Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drafting/detailing with GD&T.Experience performing FEA with SolidWorks Simulation.Experience with engineering calculation software such as PTC Mathcad.#J-18808-Ljbffr
