The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in developing reliable, efficient, and cost-effective mechanical designs while partnering closely with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for custom machinery and automation projects
  • Review project requirements and translate specifications into practical engineering solutions
  • Create concept designs and participate in initial design reviews
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs including:
    • Assembly drawings
    • Component layouts
    • Bills of materials
    • Design calculations
    • Manufacturing documentation
  • Collaborate with project engineering and cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure designs meet performance, quality, scheduling, and cost objectives
  • Support fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities as needed
  • Participate in final design reviews and documentation approvals
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and implementing engineering improvements
  • Contribute ideas that improve product quality, engineering efficiency, and overall organizational performance
  • Maintain effective communication across engineering, manufacturing, and project teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine design principles
  • Experience with mechanical design for industrial equipment or automated systems
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering standards and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to interpret and create detailed engineering drawings and schematics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within manufacturing, automation, or custom machinery environments
  • Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion systems
  • Hands-on experience supporting fabrication or machine assembly
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Experience collaborating closely with electrical controls and project engineering teams
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment design, integration, and startup support
