ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering Team is responsible for designing and integrating advanced hardware for missile platforms. Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineers own the full development lifecycle, from concept generation to integration and flight test, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems that meet the demands of complex, contested environments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Design, develop, and integrate hardware for high-speed air vehicles. Own full design lifecycles, from initial concept to real-world deployment. Apply first principles of physics to guide all decisions and design processes. Lead design reviews, conduct analyses, visit vendors, and define and execute hardware test plans. Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production. Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed. Travel to test sites or vendor locations as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in advanced air vehicle programs. Familiarity with hypersonic missile systems and military standards. Hands-on experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into high-speed air vehicles. Proficiency in designing mechanical parts using CAD software and a strong understanding of manufacturing methods, including machining, sheet metal work, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and composite lamination. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and first principles. BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering. Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter software. Expertise in air vehicle subsystem layouts, architectural trade studies, and vendor data evaluations. An active DoD Top Secret security clearance. Proficiency in advanced engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and/or electrical domains.
