Mechanical Engineer - Hudson, OH - JOB 26-00318
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
Seeking a versatile Mechanical Engineer for a leading manufacturing firm in Hudson, Ohio. This is a "bridge " role where you will lead mechanical machine design, oversee assembly processes, and manage technical workflows within an ERP environment. We are looking for a problem-solver who can navigate both the design office and the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Engineering Excellence
- Design complex models and part drawings (including shrinkage factors) using SolidWorks.
- Design End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) and robot cages; troubleshoot and program Wittmann robots.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), Methods of Manufacturing (MOM), and facility layout drawings.
2. ERP & Project Management
- Take full ownership of the Engineering Workbench, Part Master files, and Requisition entries.
- Monitor schedules, maintain revision records, and coordinate with subcontract programmers via Google Drive.
- Support the flow of information between Engineering, Sales, and Purchasing to ensure manufacturing deadlines are met.
3. Quality & Maintenance
- Utilize the Faro Arm for equipment calibration and part inspection.
- Prove out, update, and post CNC programs to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
- Maintain safety and quality standards, ensuring rework is kept to an absolute minimum.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSET).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Teams/Excel).
- Familiarity with Epicor or similar manufacturing ERP systems.
- Ability to translate technical work instructions and communicate across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HyperMill, Moldflow, or 3D Printing.
- Background in mold building or plastics manufacturing
