Essential Job Functions

Learn and interpret technical requirements from Naval customers and assist in implementing engineering solutionsParticipate in product design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer specificationsCollaborate closely with in-house manufacturing teams and external vendors to support production schedules and resolve design or test issuesAssist with qualifying new vendors and developing strong working relationshipsSupport evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications, and drawing releasesDevelop a working knowledge of Hunt Valve products, processes, and industry requirementsCreate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, with a strong emphasis on translating models into accurate, production-ready drawingsGain hands-on experience through time spent in the manufacturing shop environment

Skills & Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with teammates, leadership, customers, and vendorsWorking knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)Familiarity with ANSI drawing standards and GD&T (training and mentorship provided)High attention to detail when reviewing drawings, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and preparing technical documentationAbility to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and seek guidance when neededExposure to non-destructive testing (NDT), machining, manufacturing, or inspection processes is a plus

Essential Job RequirementsEducation:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution

Experience:

1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environmentRecent graduates with relevant internships, co-ops, or hands-on project experience are encouraged to apply
