In this role, you will contribute to system design, analysis, documentation, and coordination efforts from concept through construction. You will work closely with senior engineers and collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, code-compliant project delivery.Project experience spans healthcare, education (K–12 and higher ed), federal and military, justice, commercial, industrial, residential, hospitality, data centers, and other institutional markets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport design of HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and related mechanical systemsDevelop layouts, calculations, and construction documents across all project phasesPerform system sizing, engineering analysis, and technical problem-solvingCoordinate with internal disciplines and external project stakeholdersAssist with construction documentation, specifications, and technical reportingSupport field coordination to ensure design intent is met during constructionProvide guidance to junior staff as appropriateQualificationsB.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET‑accredited)7+ years of mechanical/plumbing building systems design experiencePE license preferredExperience with HVAC, hydronic, controls, and plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, venting)Exposure to medical gas and fire protection systems is a plusProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)Experience with load calculation tools (e.g., Trane TRACE or equivalent)Familiarity with building codes and standardsExperience with specification writing (AIA MasterSpec or SpecsIntact preferred)Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesA bit about usWe're a rapidly growing, multi-discipline architecture and engineering firm with 500+ professionals across 25+ offices nationwide.
