Position Title: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)
Pay: $90-100k+yr
Location: Houston, TX

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to support the design and delivery of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and educational facility projects. This role will be responsible for engineering calculations, AutoCAD and Revit design, construction documentation, and project coordination within a highly collaborative MEP consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and educational facilities
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings
- Develop project specifications and supporting construction documents
- Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and addendums for mechanical systems
- Conduct field investigations and prepare field reports
- Design heating, ventilation, air conditioning, temperature control, and central plant systems
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and client standards
- Manage mechanical design efforts on medium to large projects
- Participate in client meetings and coordinate with project teams
- Assist with construction administration and project support activities
Requirements:- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- EIT certification or actively pursuing EIT certification
- Experience with HVAC system design for commercial buildings
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Previous experience in an MEP consulting environment
Preferred Qualifications:- Strong Revit experience
- Experience with K-12, educational, or municipal projects
- Knowledge of central plant design, indoor air quality, and temperature control systems
- Ability to manage medium to large projects with minimal supervision
- Experience mentoring junior staff or sharing technical knowledge
- Construction administration and field observation experience
