Job Summary

  • Mechanical Engineer

 Job Description and Responsibilities

  • This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide engineering support for elevator components. Engineering plays a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, integrating new component designs into existing systems and addressing turn backs while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.
  • Typical responsibilities include engineering calculations and analysis, component design, cost analysis, test and documentation of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate must have a strong background in mechanical engineering, ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, ability to deliver assigned commitments on time.

 Education

  • BS degree in mechanical engineering or MA/MS degree with 1 to 3+ years’ work experience.

 Experience/Skills

  • Strong mechanical engineering background.
  • Self-motivated personality with a strong desire to continue learning.
  • Self-paced engineering work with ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Time management to meet agreed upon commitments.
  • Engineering problem solving skills.
  • Component, system modeling and design with Creo (Pro Engineer) or similar software.
  • Engineering calculations including Mathcad or similar software.
  • Mechanical structural analysis including Ansys or other FEA software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency working in product development process.
  • Proficiency in using PLM/PDM system capable of storing documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

 Technical Skills

  • Component, system modeling and design with Creo (Pro Engineer) or similar software.
  • Engineering calculations including Mathcad or similar software.
  • Engineering problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Must Work Onsite.
  • Self-motivated personality with a strong desire to continue learning.

 Nice To Have
