Position SummaryFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDepartment: EngineeringReports To: Engineering ManagerLocation: Dublin, OHThe Kinetics Noise Control is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our Application Engineering team. This role plays a critical technical function in developing vibration isolation systems and engineered support solutions for commercial and industrial applications. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for producing submittals and manufacturing drawings for vibration isolation systems, curbs, frames, and bases, as well as performing seismic and wind analysis on structural components and anchorage. This position also includes analytical modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), and direct collaboration with internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, hands‑on design experience, and the ability to independently solve complex engineering challenges in a fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and detail distribution system supports, restraints, anchors, and vibration isolation systems for piping, ductwork, and electrical (MEP) systemsDevelop vibration isolation, curb, frame, and base submittals, including manufacturing drawingsPerform seismic and wind load calculations and produce supporting engineering reportsConduct finite element analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation or similar toolsExecute analytical modeling and custom solution development based on project-specific requirements and field conditionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Field Teams to ensure practical, buildable solutionsSupport Revit/BIM coordination for MEP systems and engineered supportsReview project documentation, identify missing inputs, and define engineering scope requirementsProvide technical support for field installations, shop fabrication issues, and customer inquiriesGenerate custom product drawings based on project sales requirementsContribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools, internal software, standards, and workflowsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, structural frames, or product designExperience with:Autodesk design toolsSolidWorks Simulation or other FEA platformsExcel, programming, or engineering automation toolsDemonstrated experience producing engineering calculations and technical reportsTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of:Structural loading (seismic, wind, thermal)Anchorage design and restraint behaviorVibration isolation principles and system performanceWorking knowledge of:International Building Code (IBC) and related compliance requirementsStructural systems including steel, concrete, wood framing, and MEP componentsManufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal fabrication, tolerances, and finishesHardware selection, specification, and sourcing practicesCore CompetenciesAdvanced analytical problem‑solving and sound mechanical design judgmentStrong technical communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to deadlinesEffective collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teamsHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure and deliver solutions for time‑sensitive challengesPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.Ability to work in various environmental conditions.EEO StatementThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
