About the role:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing Stickle steam systems and providing technical support to customers throughout the project lifecycle, including system design, troubleshooting, installation, and startup.
Responsibilities
Develop technical specifications, system designs, and CAD drawings for customer projects.
Provide engineering support for customer inquiries, installations, troubleshooting, and system startups.
Apply mechanical engineering knowledge across system design, drafting, programming, troubleshooting, and customer support.
Evaluate projects from a big-picture perspective, considering system requirements, customer needs, and business objectives.
Conduct customer site reviews, system audits, and evaluations.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and internal teams to support successful project execution.
Independently identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with ownership and accountability.
Communicate complex technical information clearly to customers, internal teams, and leadership.
Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Travel up to 75% or more, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Engineering degree preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or other 2D design software required.
Experience with pneumatic systems and valves/controls required.
Familiarity with Allen Bradley preferred.
Versatile mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to contribute across multiple areas rather than a single specialty.
Ability to understand broader system design, project objectives, and customer needs beyond individual drafting or programming tasks.
