TITLE: Mechanical Engineer
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of our plastic manufacturing processes and equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, a strong background in plastic manufacturing, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the plastics or manufacturing industry.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and modeling.Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies related to plastics.Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA).Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with process automation and robotics.Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding processes.Project management experience is a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components used in plastic manufacturing processes.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects and modifications.Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Support the implementation of new technologies into product specification applications.Provide material engineering support for continuous improvements of material and manufacturing processes.Analyze product failure data in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.Perform equipment abnormal analysis and recommend corrective actions.Conduct engineering evaluation on performance of machinery used on manufacturing process.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
