Mechanical Engineer

*We are not accepting relocation candidates at this time*Position Overview:The objective of this position is to research, develop, and design standard and custom specialty gas delivery systems according to customer specifications, deadlines, and industry standards and codes. This includes conferring with management, manufacturing, and customer service to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and project scheduling.Responsibilities Include:Under the direction of the engineering manager or project engineer, develop conceptual and production designs from project specifications.Produce and perform Inventor modeling and detailed drawings of standard and custom productsCheck drawings for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and presentationComplete MRP system Bill of Material (BOM) development and system entryInteract with production/quality departments to ensure that parts and builds are as per the designSelect system components for standard productsAccurately schedule and track projects and provide progress reports regarding real-time project delaysComplete P&IDs for standard gas equipmentExecute engineering calculations for pressure losses, heat losses, and exhaust requirementsComplete on-going trainings for industry codes and best design practicesInteract with production, as well as outside vendors to resolve manufacturing and design related issuesEssential Skills:Strong sense of urgency and responsivenessExcellent written and oral communication skillsA meticulous sense of timeliness and attention to detailHighly organized with an innate ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time and tasks effectivelyPossess a customer-centric, team driven personalityRequired Experience:4 Year bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required1-4 years' experience in a mechanical engineering fieldWorking knowledge of MRP/ERP software preferredExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD® and InventorPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.Must be able to access and inspect all areas of engineering systems and components.Applied Energy Systems Inc is an EEO employer
