Job Overview

Join as a Mechanical Engineer and be part of a dynamic team advancing aerospace technology. In this role, you will support mechanical systems, testing initiatives, and hydraulic applications within our R&D Test Lab.

You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers to enhance lab capabilities, conduct critical development and certification testing, and contribute to innovative aerospace projects. Our team promotes a strong learning culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, follow direction from senior engineers, and contribute effectively in a high-performance team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the R&D Lab team, taking direction from senior engineers on active projects.
Design pressure, flow, and spray test stands and implement upgrades, with a focus on improving automation using control valves and pressure/flow sensors.
Develop and enhance test stand control hardware and safety circuitry to improve operational efficiency.
Support calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Actively participate in a high-performance team environment, contributing across multiple functions as needed.
Present project plans, data, and results, and generate detailed reports to support informed decision-making.
Assist fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Maintain a safe workplace while adhering to a zero-incident culture.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on Skills: Experience in mechanical system design, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
Communication: Strong ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise technical documentation skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, promoting collaboration and innovation.
Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to facilities, local universities, and suppliers.


Preferred Qualifications
Master s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience with mechatronics/automation, test instrumentation, data acquisition, and soldering/fabrication equipment.
Proficiency in programming/analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, and/or ANSYS.
