Required Skills
• 5+ years of construction or engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare mechanical and electrical estimates from design documents.
• Review HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Develop MEP scopes of work for subcontractor bidding.
• Coordinate bid analysis and support subcontractor selection.
• Review construction drawings and identify constructability or quality issues.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
• Support commissioning by developing pre-functional checklists, testing procedures, and verifying system performance.
• Develop commissioning plans and ensure deficiencies are resolved before project closeout.
• Assist with project scheduling, sequencing, and value engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous process improvements.
• Promote workplace safety, quality, diversity, and collaboration.
Support commercial construction projects by performing mechanical, electrical, and field engineering activities throughout preconstruction, bidding, commissioning, and project execution. Prepare MEP estimates, evaluate building systems, coordinate subcontractor bidding, and ensure compliance with project specifications through drawing reviews, field inspections, and commissioning support. Collaborate with project teams to optimize cost, quality, scheduling, and safety while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
