The Role We Want You ForThe Mechanical Engineer will support the design of mechanical systems for mission‑critical facilities, including data centers, advanced manufacturing plants, and other high‑availability environments. Working alongside a Senior Mechanical Engineer on each project, this mid‑level role is responsible for producing detailed mechanical designs, performing analyses, and coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure that meets demanding uptime and efficiency requirements in a fast‑paced environment.The Specifics of the RoleDevelop mechanical designs for mission‑critical projects under the direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, best practices and client requirements.Perform detailed calculations and analyses such as load calcs, pipe pressure drop, duct pressure drop, PUE, WUE, etc.Produce mechanical design deliverables including drawings and specifications.Delegate tasks to junior engineers, oversee their progress, and provide technical guidance, mentorship and training.Coordinate with other disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and controls to support integrated design.Support construction administration activities, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field observations.Contribute to client meetings and presentations, support the senior engineer in communicating technical solutions.Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the mission‑critical industry.RequirementsBS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET institution required.3-7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering; mission‑critical, data center, or high‑tech manufacturing project experience preferred.EIT required; PE License preferred or actively pursuing.Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or similar tools).
